This is something we hear far too often. And we get it. There are lots of trends and plans and programs designed to help you lose weight and get fit. Our key is to focus on you and your specific goals. But don't take it from us. Check out some of our happy clients.
My goal was to get to a stage where I was comfortable in my own body inside and out and still be capable of lifting heavy weights for my weightlifting competitions.
I went from a starting weight of 211lbs and am now 178lbs. Velocity is quite different to anything else I have tried. It is so much more than just ‘losing weight’ or that “8-week weight loss challenge”. It’s about the journey, not the destination and it’s not just another diet.
Velocity has been a lifestyle change for me and changing the headspace that I did have towards food and building a better relationship with it has been so beneficial for me. I seriously cannot thank my coach enough for the endless support she has had for me over the last year, she has helped me become the person I am today and the person I continue to grow into.
I have tried many different programs before and Velocity has stood out far above them all. My goal was to lose 10 pounds to get back to where I was before having had two kids in two years. As the weight started coming off, I just kept focusing on my daily goals and, before I knew it, I was down 20 pounds!
The focus on the entire person and how mindfulness focused nutrition can fit into your life was key for me. I loved that the program focuses on the person as a whole (sleep, mental health, stress levels). I am divorced with two toddlers and work full time, so if I had time to do this anyone can! I found it helpful to have my macros to focus on, but still have so much flexibility with what I wanted to eat.
The positivity and optimism of my coach was refreshing each week. Now I am adjusting my goals to new levels that I never thought I could reach again and I have never felt better as a person!
Nick is a busy college student, and he always stayed clear of all exercise outside of skateboarding.
He was 124lbs and had doctors telling him he was way underweight for his height
Nick has worked hard and progressed so much in his lifts and started fueling his body for growth.
We got his weight up to 138 and still climbing. As you can see from the after picture, it’s a solid muscle we added.
The craziest thing is he enjoys our workouts too! For Nick, we found a style of training that cuts out all the fluff and just packs on size and strength!
I had gotten to the point where the only way I could lose weight was to eat under 1200 calories per day… I went to bed hungry every night, and I was pretty resigned to the fact that that was going to be how I had to live if I wanted to get the weight to stay off. Of course, that was killing my CrossFit workouts; and it was impossible to maintain.
I was paired with my coach and immediately I started pushing back on the idea of eating so much. She was exactly what I needed: that confident, calm ‘voice’ to say, I’ve got you. Let ME worry about the scale. You just focus on hitting your macros and see what happens… I would get frustrated when I felt like I was eating well, working out hard, and the scale would go UP, not down. My coach took those opportunities to encourage me and educate me on all the reasons that could be happening. It really was transformational for my thinking. I could go on and on about what I’ve learned!
This program was life-altering. My goal was body compositional change to support the goal of competitive CrossFit. I am currently 11 lbs down!
Before Boost, I had come to accept that how I looked, how I felt in my skin and how I performed was just how it is. That I had reached, what was in my mind, the naturally pre-determined and unsatisfying state of ‘as good as it gets.’ This state of mind was really just an acknowledgment of my own powerlessness over my health.
This program offered education in an area where I felt overwhelmed and empowerment where I felt powerless. My coach and Boost gave me a new set of skills. Spending the last 6 months honing those skills with their support has built my confidence and forever changed my perspective on eating for performance, and health in general.”
